Evicted Celebrity Big Brother houseguest Chris Kirkpatrick is rooting for his ally in the game, Shanna Moakler, to win America’s Favorite Player, after her heartbreaking eviction. Shanna and Chris teamed up and made a final 2 deal when they grew tired of Miesha Tate and Todrick Hall’s domination of the game. As Big Brother superfans, Shanna and Chris had a strong bond that reminded many viewers of old school Big Brother players such as Janelle Pierzina and Kaysar Ridha. They fearlessly defied Head of Household Miesha’s orders and removed Carson Kressley from the chopping block with Shanna’s veto. Although Chris sacrificed his own game and essentially backdoored himself as Miesha chose him as the replacement nominee, he felt that it was worth it to set up Shanna, Carson, and Cynthia Bailey’s game for future success.
Carson won the next HOH competition, and it seemed that their plan to evict Miesha from the game was infallible. Carson had made a deal to keep HOH competition runner-up, Todrick, safe from eviction that week. Todrick was desperate to keep his partner, Miesha, in the game as well, so he used the fact that Shanna had offered to be a double agent for him and Miesha earlier in the game against her. He exaggerated and lied until Carson and Cynthia believed that Shanna had double-crossed them. Shanna was shocked by their reaction because she had just saved Carson from eviction, thereby saving Cynthia as well, and proven her loyalty to them publicly. They would not listen to her, and the confrontation escalated to bullying. Fans have been disgusted by Todrick’s comments about Shanna. Shanna was isolated in the house, and her only chance to save herself was to win her third veto of the season. However, she was the only houseguest who did not get a chance to play for the veto, and she was backdoored unanimously.
Fans of the show, including Chris, are now rallying for Shanna to win the America’s Favorite Player award, a coveted fan-voted prize that is awarded to the houseguest who the viewers feel played the best game. In a tweet, Chris wrote, “Vote for America’s Favorite Houseguest! I know who has my family’s vote!” with a picture of Shanna. Shanna was so appreciative and responded with, “Thank you Kris!!! Can’t wait to meet the family! Playing with you was the best!” Chris also tweeted, was such an honor to call you a friend in the @CBSBigBrother house. You held yourself with class the whole way, and even when the lies and dirty gameplay turned the entire house against you, your amazing light shined through!” to which Shanna responded, “You are the best!!!” Their strong bond is evident as Chris is also eligible for the prize, but is instead rooting for his friend, who he feels is more deserving.
Chris is not the only one who hopes that Shanna wins AFP. Big Brother legend, Janelle Pierzina, tweeted, “The house didn’t deserve her. Shanna for AFP” along with heart and crown emojis, and a picture of Shanna holding her veto. Janelle is one of the most respected players in the history of the game, so fans take her opinions seriously. General Hospital star, Kelly Monaco, tweeted “head over to http://cbs.com and vote for my bestie @shannamoakler for celebrity big brother fan vote.” Many fans have also tweeted that Shanna should be AFP due to her strategic and exciting gameplay and her two Power of Veto wins. In Shanna’s exit interviews, when she was informed about this, she repeatedly said that she felt honored to be considered for the award, and that she would be so happy if she actually does win it.
Fans have grown frustrated by the uninformed gameplay and personal insults that have marred this season of Celebrity Big Brother. However, Shanna has been a bright spot, and people are really rooting for her to win. She already seems to be the top choice of fans. With the support of her fellow houseguest Chris and others, she might officially become America’s Favorite Player.
