Clubhouse, (yes remember that), has just launched a cool new feature that will allow you to create text-to-voice messages using your own voice. Which is a bit spooky. Your friends will be notified that it’s an AI voice but still… This isn’t the first time a social network has used an AI tool for this but it could spur more to add similar features. Although I, and many others, don’t enjoy voice messaging, we know it’s a growing trend. Meta is worried about Deep Fakes and we should be too. Created with AI, these are generally videos that seem to portray famous people, often politicians, saying or doing something they didn’t.
